Technical Specification for Waterproofing and Drainage Structure of Railway Tunnel

Waterproof board inspection - surface treatment - laying waterproof board –installing insulating layer - construction of waterproof layer.

■  Laying of waterproof board and insulating layer

Waterproof board and insulating layer shall be between the concreting and secondary lining in line with the structure of “waterproof board + insulating layer + waterproof layer” along the entire section of the tunnel. The insulating composite structure, by “nailless laying” process, ensures no leakage. 

■  Waterproof board construction

Waterproof board joint lapping width and times of welding; 

■  Insulating layer construction 

Piecing laying, close contact and reliable bonding with the substrate; 

■  Waterproof layer construction

Upon completion of insulating layer, waterproof coating or a layer of PVC film may be used as the waterproof layer for structural waterproofing.
